(higher) clutch friction point
After a weekend of hell-ish traffic driving in NYC, i noticed that my clutch friction point is a bit higher than normal.
I have yet to bleed my system (it has been roughly 14 months since the last time), so I am hoping that this will be the fix…
Does anyone else have experience with a a "higher" clutch friction point that a bleed seemed to fix?
(I am trying to avoid an entire clutch replacement, budget issues)
thanks..! -

mine has done that twice and a bleed has helped both times. I may have a master cyl that is getting weak and leaking by causing it87 Turbo: Stock VG33, stock cams, maxima intake, T5, DXD stage 3 clutch, tubular stainless headers, GT3582r, full 3" stainless exhaust, E85 680cc inj. and Nistune

If you're speaking of the location of the engagement of the clutch. There's also the possibilty that you wore the clutch down a bit. As a clutch wears out, the point of engagement gets higher on the pedal.Dave

If what dave is saying is the case, then you can adjust the engagement point/clutch pedal position underneath the dash right near the top of the pedal arm.
