If the tires both spin the same direction it is an LSD. if one spins one way and the other the opposite its an open diff.
What you are looking for visually is a differential cover that appears to have cooling fins at the bottom of it. Similar to a lot of car stereo amplifiers. The open diffs do not have the cooling fins.85 Z31 6.0 LSX turbo 766whp/792wtq
