If its a DET, the Z31 trans/clutch will work but the flywheel wont…you can use the Z31 starter, though.- VG30DET (HE341) 86 300ZX - 1982 280ZX Turbo - Headered NA 1986 300ZX 2+2 - 2000 Xterra - -

DE = 8 bolt crank/flywheel
E = 6 bolt crank/flywheel
depending on engine/transmission combo, flywheel offset is different. -

Motor mounts- not sure
Engine to trans - yes
flywheel is dependent on crank bolt pattern, and trans selection.
Z31 6 bolt will not work on DE,
DE 8 bolt will not work on z31 trans and starter.
NA clutches are interchangeable.Damn dirty angels....these cars!

Being that all VG30DET's came with automatics bolted to them, you have a few options for flywheel.
Bolt up a Z32 NA flywheel, and may need to grind the inside of the Z31 bellhousing for the ringgear to clear.
Get a custom flywheel made using a Z31 flywheel as a template.
All DOHC VG's have 8-bolt flywheels.
All SOHC VG's have 6-bolt flywheels.

the 8 bolt flywheel's ring gear is not in the proper position for starter engagement from what Ive seen. - compared to Z31 6 bolt.
