    ECU chart question.

    So I was looking up an ecu ID on jim wolfs website. I was just wondering what the tag reg. meant at the top of the list I got turbo, Transmission, but i don't know what reg. means please if anyone knows that may help me out a little.

    is there a difference between a california ecu vs a federal? performance?

    When I changed my 84, 5speed, NA to an 87 ECU to solve cold start problems I ended up with a Federal and a California ECU's in other words two of them. I cannot tell the difference in the way the car runs. I did this back when the car had to pass Texas emissions inspection and both ECU's passed.
