86 na vg30 drivability issue
Hi I'm new to the forums and I don't exactly have a z31 but I do have an engine out of one. I recently completed an 86 na VG30e swap into a 510, here's my build thread: http://community.ratsun.net/topic/51…-lots-of-pics/ If you have slow internet skip looking at it since there are too many photos.
Most of my photos are too large to upload here.
here's one shrunk down http://i.imgur.com/x1LMnzN.jpg?1
Now to my issue, when I just slightly press the gas pedal (or tb by hand) not under load my engine will bog down and die. I kind of think it is leaning out, i.e. as I crack the throttle it's letting in more air and not countering with more fuel, this creates a problem because it's impossible to start moving without revving the engine and burning the clutch a little. I've played with my TPS and adjusted it so it's just slightly under the point where it starts increasing rpms. I have no smog equipment whatsoever. Another thing is my air regulator, with my 300zx regulator it doesn't want to run, it fires up and dies. With my 200sx regulator it fires up fine cold but as I drive around the idle is erratic. With either regulator unplugged and blocked off it runs like carburetors, once it warms up it runs great (besides the other issue).
Any ideas? -

The tps is a switch. It should change positions the instant the throttle is touched. Other than that do a thorough check for vacuum leaks and check ecu codes to start. -

Also, check fuel pressure. Being a VG swap, I would assume you have installed a high pressure FI fuel pump instead of a carb pump. Just checking basics.
