could CHTS going bad cause hard starts? it idles all over the place too, deleted iac, using set screw on tb to adjust idle. also adjusted the tps. I have it so it will idle at 8-900 rpm, but then sometimes it will idle at 14, then drop to 9, then go to 11, then to 12, and sometimes it will drop to like 7 and idle like its gonna die. it seems jumpy from a stop if the rpms are below 3k, its not smooth like it should be. new cap, rotor, and plugs were installed. it does this hot or cold, just seems worse when everything heats up.

id guess either bad fuel pump/pressure reg, or wonky ecu/maf (leaning closer to maf, as that helps the ecu select load and timing maps). any codes?

haven't even checked the codes…im leaning towards maf as well. -
I have a similar issue happening my self mine is throwing idle air control code exhaust gas code and fuel circuit code which is bypassed. mine goes thru like 3 different idle stages when warming up in the morning and has hesitation off the line and hiccups on me around 4-4500rpm -
my problem ended up being the afm. swapped it out and it ran like new.
