    VK56VD space

Theres plenty of room length and width wise but height is too close to call. Will require modification to oil pan to even get close to fitting under the hood.

And you may need to switch to a z32 brake booster depending on how far you want your engine to sit.

I'd love to do a VK56 swap but it was too rich for my z31 owner blood. Are you planning to use the z33/v35 transmission with the adapter plate? Are you staying N/A or you going to slap a turbo on that puppy? Lol either way, awesome stuff man!

Which version of the VK56VD is that? The car or suv? I heard the M56/Q70 version isn't as tall because of the oil pan used, could be completely false though.

Looks like it will need a custom intake.. I heard a while back a company was looking into making something, but haven't followed that world

I was thinking if I'm going through the trouble of swaping this, I might as well turbo the thing. I haven't madeup my mind yet

The M56 has somewhat more of a front and middle sump pan then this SUV engine which has the rear sump. I may be able to fit it under the hood if I cut a few inches out from where the crossmember is.

Their is an update on the timing chains..... the tension gets weak over time and the chain start to rub and make a load supercharger noise. We've done six QX56 in the past week. Make sure to get the whole timing kit.

We have a QX56 in the shop for the timing chain problem so I decided to take pics and post them. On the top photo notice how close the chain is, and on the second photo their is a oil squirter between the chain and the crank gear that needs to be replaced. Their is a special tool for the oil squirter.

Same problem with the Juke timing chains. Done dozens of those. Crazy how it affected only the direct injected engines.

Oil pan mods and engine mounts should be on the way.
