VG33E max bore piston options
This thread states on page 1 that a VG33E could be bored out to 99mm safely for use with a turbo:
https://z31performance.com/forum/z31…-will-not-work
However the limiting factor for us cheapskate Z31 drivers (that includes me!!!) was finding a piston that would work that wasn't cost prohibitive. Has anyone looked at the 98mm piston out of a VK56DE?

Thoughts???? It looks like it uses the same wrist pin as the W series and VG30DE. Am I missing something?
Is this a cheap option?

from the white paper I saw, it's a dish design based off of the VH45, which is a proven overbore piston for the VG33E--------------

$900 will get you a custom set of forged pistons built to whatever mythical ideas you have about your VG33E. Pick up a set of rods too, OEM and crap have a way of making an exit through the block.Cha iro
enjoy building it yourself.
if it fails, fuck it.
at least you gave it a whirl.
