    steering knuckle

I'm trying to remove the front left strut/tube but I'm having a hard time seperating the knuckle arm from the strut tube above it. Am I missing something? its got to be held on by something other than the two bolts in the FSM mentioned because it won't budge at all. I've unhooked the tension rod and the sway link as well. Does the ball joint underneath it somehow hold the tube there also?

Brace the hub and strut against something solid and smack the knuckle sideways to try turning it, don't try smacking it down it will just bind.... alternately leave the tierod on and smack the hub sideways
