strut and springs change out -help

URGENT !! I need to know if '86 non turbo springs and struts will fit my 87 ZX turbo? I have got to obtain a smoother ride. I'm getting older and the rough ride is hard on my older body ! I have an 86 part car and thought I would just change out the parts. Help! I want to do this in the next couple days.

The entire 86na Macpherson strut assembly will be a direct swap to the 87 turbo. Just remove it at the 2 17mm* bolts from the steering knuckles, and at the 3 14mm* nuts on the upper mount.

    *wrench size, not thread diameter.

Karma: Are U sure no other bolts will have to be removed to take these out?

    I'm 99% sure that i'm 80% certain.
You will have to use a screwdriver or pliers tp unclip the brake line retainer from the strut tube. You will also need to un -bolt the caliper bracket. That's 2 more 17mm bolts.
The lower control arm will be kind of held firm against the bottom of the strut assembly, a few whacks with a dead-blow mallet or rubber hammer should help separate it.

Disassembly instructions are in the FA section of the FSM(s) linked above.
