How to renew wood grain interior bezels

I used the following product to revitalize the lower body cladding on my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4X4:

On a hunch, I wondered how it might work to restore the often faded look that the 84-85 GLL wood grain pieces seem to suffer from, especially since replacement pieces are NLA.

I tried it on two spare 1984 AE radio face plates I had laying around. I was really impressed. Follow the directions carefully; especially about cleaning the surface with soap and water.

Here are pics of an unrestored piece, followed by a side-by-side with another one I had that had the product applied. Not claiming any miracles, but it is a big improvement.

The dark "blotches" on the treated piece are actually reflections of my shadow taking the picture in the surface - pretty impressive.
