Door handle bracket scratching window glass

I have this odd situation that there is a bracket inside the driver's side door scratching the window glass when moving up or down. The spot that I covered with red electrical tape (didn't help obviously). Is it supposed to be like that? Looking at the diagram now it starts to seem like the LH and RH parts have been swapped. The photo is taken looking in the front direction. What's the point of the bracket and how should it be installed?

So it was rotated 180 degrees from the correct position. The part that's sticking out under a right angle is supposed to be above the lock assembly.
