  • door hinge/hinge pin replacement.

My door hinges have some play in them and i was looking into changing the hinge pins. In nissan FAST i can only find the complete hinge assembly. There are 4 hinges at 40 bucks a piece. Does a hinge pin replacement exist? If not, does anyone have an alternative to buying 4 new 40 dollar hinges?

I have 4 off an 84 coupe. Used, they seemed fine when I took them off. I will check them again if you are interested.

this ain't no chevy that the pin bushings are designed to wear out in. gotta do the whole hinge. seems to have taken at least 20 years to happen though. instead of 4-6 like chevy

I have never seen just the pins. By looking at the spare doors I have, it looks like they are rivets not pins. I too need to replace my hinges on my black car.

IIRC the top hinge is identical to the lower hinge. But different from drivers side to passenger side.

                        8+ Years BUMP.

Anyone replace those pins recently? Any aftermarket parts that might fit from another Nissan?

You can try and ask them if their suppliers have the parts. They both sometimes list parts that are NLA. These are complete hinge assys and you would need 4 in total so it wouldn't be too cheap..
