Help! T5 NWC vs T5 non world class, can't identify....

I have and '86 turbo manufactured in 01/86 I and the ID tag is missing from the Borg-Warner T5 transmission. It has the torx bolt on the side but does not have the Timkin labeled piece behind the bell-housing. NWC T5's use gear oil and WC T5's use dexron ATF, so I need to know. The Nissan service manual recommends either ATF or gear oil. It's confusing.

Did Nissan ever use the World class T5? Anyone know?

    THANKS!
    Jim

Nissan never ran the WC T-5. The atf is considered too thin for the yellow pars in our transmissions. As the WC, with the multi-piece syncro's operated better with ATF. They are pretty easy to distinguish between either one by the case differences anyway.

They both have a Torx bolt on the left side, which holds the reverse mechanism.
    Damn dirty angels....these cars!

Current Daily Driver - 86 Turbo.
Under the cover - THE BANANA… that needs to be re-energized.
