Tranny removal and install w/o removing bellhousing???

Is it possible to remove and reinstall the tranny while leaving the bellhousing on like the Ford guys???

I need to change the tranny seals on a fresh build.

Yep. BW T5. Should have specified that.

My concern is getting the throw out bearing and shift fork properly aligned during the reinstall.

Got the tranny rebuilt, new seals, synchros, some gears grinded down, shift fork plastics replaced. Put bell housing on first then tranny. Dropped shift fork once but it went in fine.

IMO it was easier this way.
