Always on efan - issues?

  • Always on efan - issues?

    I'm having a few problems with my efan setup popping the fuse and cutting out. There is a gremlin somewhere with the fan thermostat or the wiring too or perhaps both. The Australian summer is epic hot and I can't really be bothered tracing this back so I'm curious, any real drawbacks to just hard wiring the fan, bypassing the fan thermostat control switch and just having it always on?

    Besides the obvious amp draw, does anyone have any real reason why I shouldn't do this? Keep in mind it probably is always hot enough to be on via thermostat control anyway, I just want to get rid of this as a problem albeit crudely and avoid another auto electrician visit.

    I don't think it would be a problem and I think some people do it this way. Just wire a relay to the ignition to turn it on. Why not get a new thermostat though? I've been using a $15 USD Hayden thermostat with a Taurus e fan and its worked great! Its adjustable too

    I got this shit sorted. The supplier gave me the wrong specifications for the circuit breaker and wiring. This fixed it;
