Turn Signals and Flashers not working (1988 Z31)

So I've recently run into an issue were my turn signals are no longer activating after fixing a prior issue where my tail lights were not coming on due to a bad combo switch. Once I switched out the headlight combo it fixed my tail lights not working but in the process something messed up and now my blinkers no longer engage. I've checked the flasher relay already but that doesn't seem to be the issue as my hazards still work and I've done all the obvious options (bulbs, fuses, fuse relays, and fusible links) and all of those were in working order. The Combo switch is set in properly since it has to slide in before you can mount it so I'm doubtful that it is that as well. I'm really at a loss here, what could be causing this incredibly annoying issue?
