shocking
Went to go start my 86 the other day and while I was reving it from the engine bay. It was shocking the crap out of me and idling like garbage. Is that a bad ground problem? -

were you near a spark plug wire? Sounds like one may have been arcing and causing a dead cylinder.--------------

Also check the distributor cap, i have seen a cracked one on a Z that caused it to run bad and would let spark jump out of the cap and shocked the crap out of me.if you're gonna be dumb you gotta be tough -

Run the car at night in the darkest place you can, open the hood and see if you can see any sparks or arcing around the plug wires all the way to the distributor cap. If the wires are bad enough, you can sometimes see the arcing if it is dark enough.Restore it, Don't crush it. They don't make them like this anymore.

Found it. Top center of the distributor. Metal piece in the middle isnt insulated from the top. Not cracked, just leaking through the top.
