WarOnFlesh wrote: replace your fuel filter and PCV Valve while you are there. I know you said earlier that they were already done... but it looks like you said they were done by the previous owner. i have a feeling he was lying to you. Get a fuel filter for 1990's 300zxTT. they are about twice the flow rating.
tune up items were installed by me. what i did notice is that my rotor has play left and right. about 2mm.

BRB going to install the distributor.

Now I am having a hard start issue with no codes. Started last week.

I've yet to check out the real problem on this one but hopefully this thread helps people out as I update on issues and fix them.

Basically it takes 2-3 crank before it runs and idles fine. If it give it gas on the first 2 starts it bogs and idles like 400rpm (if it stays running) and if i floor it it back fires.

almost seems as if it either has a huge vacuum leak or there is a leak just behind the AFM or simply something is going on with the AFM metering.

Will post back here with the fix.

My hard start issue went away as soon as I replaced my Alternator from the stock 70amp to the 160amp.

wtf? Alternator fixed idle? That is kinda funny right there. :-)

Terrible idea putting those wheels on...

No, it fixed my hard start issue. The car would take a few cranks and sometimes it would stall then fire right up. Almost as if my pump was bad, but as soon as I got the battery light I replaced the alternator. Started the car and some issues where gone.

I know its late but reporting back to finish the thread.

Car was fixed, the alt fixed a hard start issue?

New Distributor from distributor king fixed the other symptoms described.

if you have similar problems, take note.
