New to the Z31… first problem

    Check to make sure that your Engine management fuse in your fuse box isn't loose. If it is it won't send a signal to your coil which won't allow your car to start. Because that's what was wrong with mine when it acted like what you where describing. Had to follow the wires back from the distributor to the fuse box and found out that one of the connectors for that fuse wasn't making a good connection.

    Yes, the plug on the bottom of the distributor is what plugs into the CAS itself. You can remove this from the distributor and replace it. It's ~$300ish new depending on where you get it. When the CAS goes out, it throws multiple codes, so its very likely that's the root of your problem.

    If you can't find a used one locally I have one that worked fine when pulled I can ship to you.
