  • Cruise control not working? Missing engine components?

So ive been trying to figure out why my cruise control doesn't work on my 86' Turbo GLL. Its got a digital dash etc. and when i turn cruise on, the green light for cruise turns on, on the dash. Now if i try to set the speed using the button on my steering wheel, it doesn't work. Looking off the Haynes manual, theres a part missing in my engine bay, the ASDC vacuum thing that's supposed to be beside the left strut of the car. How can I diagnose whats up with this?

    Thank you!

If the previous owner removed the actuator (vacuum thing) and nothing else you can replace it. I would look to see if the harness, cable, vacuum lines, etc are there. If you are lucky the actuator was bad and they removed it to replace it or they hated doing filter changes with it in the way

There's a bunch of info in the Factory Service Manual on XenonZCar.com

Start at page EL-130. There's some pictures and diagrams.
