84T no fuel pressure unless regulator return line clamped off
Hello all, So I have an 84 Turbo and it has no fuel pressure unless regulator return line clamped off. I have replaced the fuel regulator (twice, thinking I got a bad new one). When the return line is clamped I am getting about 60psi even when them engine revs are about 3k so the pump seems to be fine. I have run a straight 12v to the fuel pump in effort to troubleshoot this and no change. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have been a mechanic since this car was new but this one has me at a loss.... -

It is a tricky one. Get a drawing of the fuel system and identify where pressure drops could occur and then go through them one by one? All the hoses are connected to their correct points? Let us know what the problem is. -

Yeah, make sure your return and feed aren't ass about. Where is your pressure gauge connected?Straya, +61
