    Timing belt wobble

    Hi guys,

Took some time off after rushing my build to get it on the Dyno. Ran into a few issues and now I'm back fixing them. The one I'm stuck on is the timing belt. It has a wobble. I have loosened the tension a little. I am running a gates timing belt, so it is a bit tighter than the stock belt. On the passenger side the belt sits more to the front than the drivers side which is more in the middle with the engine off. Assuming this is where the wobbling is coming from. Here's some photos and video. Is this normal?

Definitely some belt noise…pretty noisy, but I hear these gates belts have to wear in?

Don't see the video, just the pics.
If the tensioner stud is bent, that might do it.

If it's noisy chances are it's a bit tight. All belts will stretch or wear in a little but they shouldn't make any noise. Who told you make it tighter? I wouldn't worry about the wobble either, half of them wobble but you can't see them when the cover is on .

I loosened the belt, not made it tighter. The belt is made with kevlar so it wont stretch as much when on.
