Most popular way to tune a z31 is to chip the ECU with Nistune.

Own:
1986 Z31 2+0 Turbo GLL ---- spearco IC ,3" exhaust, Poly everything with solid subframe and diff mounts, HX35/40 Holset Turbo, CLSD, Nistune with 1220cc FIC injectors on E85.

yup. i second that. Nistune is the way to go, even for NA. go to the website and you can learn all about it. you send them your ECU and they install the board, giving you the ability to tune your car.
