Anyone ever thought about converting to an electric power steering pump? I'm about to drop on an MR2 pump and make some lines for my LS swap that way I don't have to worry about buying one (traditional belt driven pump) and having to buy the accessory drive kits for it. It'd be pretty cool to have power steering when the engine is off too and I believe there is a way to make it speed sensitive too.

It's a good idea when doing an engine swap, avoids having to install a oil cooler too which I found essential. But with the present project I'm in the process of mounting a true electric steering system where the electric motor operates the steering directly.Comment
