agreed, I like the drop vent a lot It cuts off the heat from the radiator to the engine. That is something important with the v8 Z cars, heat is the end of everything for them lol. You know its sad when you have a high performance radiator / fan setup and it still overheats

Best of all worlds might be a hood like that of Dan-TSS. Air is vented so flow goes over the windshield. This also causes negative pressure in the engine bay, which results in better efficiency of the radiator and IC. Scoops do not work well. They pressurize the engine bay and cause the airflow to escape under the car.

Off topic but Butter, seriously your z31 is the bomb, I am so in love with that car, I cant beleive i hadnt found it untill recently, Perfectly done in everyway.
I'll just say i have got a lot of ideas from your example. That black one with the lenses is god damn hot as well. Those 2 are in my top 5 300s.
