Help Identifying Dash Light

    If you pull the glovebox out and behind it does not look like this:



    Then you need to repair it. Replacement birds can be acquired from your local Jack's (You can still get these from the dealer, but they will kill you on shipping) and you need to wire it shut. You can use zip ties to repair your cage, but keep in mind some birds can chew through the ties, and will escape again. Also if you hear a flapping noise when you turn on your air/heat, you should probably pull your blower motor and remove the remaining parts of your OEM bird. Make sure when you put the glovebox back, that you do not pinch the cage between it and the firewall, this can cause for warping of the cage and if the sides do not align your bird can escape again.

    All that said, if you pull your glovebox and your bird is there and happy, you need to check the wiring your birdcage sensor, before replacing, because most parts techs will have a bitch of a time locating a new one. Somewhere on these forums there is a part number for it, but I do not have it easily accessible.
