Babydude: where did you learn about doing that? Was it from that forum that I'm talking about?
From the same forum thread that Jjewell posted.

To apply the paint I'm using a high density foam roller for the big areas, a foam brush for the hard to reach areas, and LOTs of paint thinner and mineral spirits to thin the paint out to the consistency of a little thicker than water.

For the sanding department, I'm using 500 to 800 grit sanding in between coats, 1500 to 2000 grit for final sanding, and then polishing compound to finish it off. Have to wait a month for the paint to dry rock hard before I can apply the wax.

I've been also considering the applying the oil-based clear coat available from Rust'0'Leum to bring out even more of the "bling"

I'm diggin it! I'm really liking the shaved bumper too. It makes a real big difference on the
84-86 Nose. I can't wait to see it all waxed after it's cured.

I think those cars are cool...even wouldn't mind having one. But
why people do that to their flip up lights is beyond me.

He got over it and just runs with them all the way up. It does give it a different than stock look. Oh, that these cars drift great for some reason

bump . . . finished the rear bumper . . . working on the driver's side quarter panel.

It's been awhile since I could get back into painting since the weather has been sh*tty and I'm painting outside.
