Something must be wonky, I'm getting those dialogs even more often now!

My wish list:
• Get rid of the ERROR (pop-up) "Invalid server response. Please try again." Geez, please, not again and again and again …
• Last page button at the top of the page.
• "View Posts Since Last Visit" button.

I wanted to report a weird error I noticed on my work computer. After logging in, it won't show I have logged in and acts like I'm still logged out until I enter a forum, scroll to the bottom, and select "Default Style (vB4 - Incompatible)". suddenly I show up as logged in, and can even switch back to vB5 and stay logged in until I leave the page. Super weird. I didn't notice this problem on my home computer though, so I don't know what it is.

I only have two things that is bothering me with this new layout.

1) Can you in any way change the black background to a different colour, maybe going with a light blue like it used to be, simple design? anything other than this unattractive black. It's a real turn off.
2) can you add a "Last" button when the post exceeds 1 page? It becomes really slow to navigate when you have to click on a post, then go to the top right to click in a box and then type the page number you want to go to.

I can't wait when this site gets back to its old layout!

I am still getting a random post without a topic when I log in and click on the button for "todays new posts"

Just click the filter for "Today" or "Last week" and it will clean up all the posts you already read.

^^^ I agree with all of this. This new format is a definite downgrade

It feels like traffic has dropped significantly as well, I spend way less time reading stuff on here now because there's just not much new content.

I am sorry about the new version guys.
But there is nothing I can do about this. The database got majorly corrupted and the only way I could restore (quickly) was to upgrade to the next version.

We are all going to have to be patient until VB5 is better developed.

I agree, but on the other hand I'd argue that some of that content wasn't worth reading in the first place..

Fall and Winter are typically a slow time on the board anyway, the changeover just exacerbated the effect.

The only thing we really need is the new posts page, everything stems from that

If we can have a good/simple/efficient way of seeing a new post (like the original z31.com you couldn't miss it) that spurs people to read it, chronologically ordered just makes it that much faster to glance over

The biggest gripe I have is that we just see the threads were updated, there's no lead-in to steer people to read anything, it's more like a library now

What are these?
I clicked New Topics and those showed up. One of them was written by 1artworks.

+1 Notification system is dumb and takes too many clicks to mark as read.
Quick editor sucks (in latest release version of Chrome). Anytime I try to place the cursor at a previous position in my post, and start typing it moves the cursor to the end. God damn it's annoying.
For a couple seconds after I post, it won't let me scroll up the page. It quickly scrolls back down to the end.
Javascript fail.
